I bought this coat in the green color and I like it so much, I'm thinking of buying it in black, also. I just wish these came in a slightly smaller size. I prefer my coats to be loose, so that I can layer one or two sweaters underneath and not feel like I'm being strangled. The XL Big is the perfect length for me, but it's a little too loose on me. I wish I could get the Large in Big, as I think that would be perfect: not too loose and not too tight. But the Large only comes in Tall, and I am sure the sleeves on that would be too long for me.However -- besides wishing this came in a slightly smaller size, I am very pleased with this coat. It looks like it was very well made. I love all the pockets. And I like that this coat isn't too thick and heavy. It really isn't an "Arctic" weather kind of coat. To survive in very cold temperatures, you definitely will need to layer a sweater or two underneath. However, I prefer this thickness, because it doesn't typically get super cold where I live.Another very important thing that I LOVE about this coat is that it has snaps, not Velcro, to fasten the collar and hood. The only Velcro on this coat is on the sleeve cuffs. The reason that is important to me is because I have very long, waist length hair, and my hair was always getting caught on the Velcro on my old coat. Ouch!!Do you know how hard it is to find a coat without Velcro up around the hood or collar? It's almost impossible these days. I am a woman and this is a man's coat. I simply could not find a woman's coat without hair destroying Velcro! But I am taller than the average woman, and the style of this coat looks fine on either a man or a woman, especially with the fur on the hood.Yes, I am definitely going to buy the black one, too. I love it that much. Maybe I will get the large and just roll up the sleeves a bit. Or I could hem them. Break out the old sewing kit. That's what I will do. Then I will wear the green one on the days when it's colder and I need to layer some sweaters underneath, and wear the black one on the not so cold days. Perfect!
