(Rise is the distance from the middle of the crotch seam (right between your legs) to the top of the waistband. It usually ranges from 7 inches to 12 inches..)Others I tried that were under 17" were too tight.Love the fit and qualityHe is 6’6” and these shorts are at the top of the knee. Waistband is breathable and the size is as stated. Great pair of shorts. The fit is perfect.I am a large round man and love these , I own several in many colors. Gave him just a bit of extra comfort so he could grab these anytime. He is a 32" inseam and these are shorter than the picture and the legs are not as tapered, but my husband has very long thin legs.good
